Areas of Expertise

Accident Reconstruction
Mechanical Engineering
Premises Liability / Personal Injury

Quinn Campbell, PhD is a Senior Biomechanical Engineer specializing in injury biomechanics. He has qualified as an expert in biomechanics and testified in state and federal courts. The types of cases he works on include automotive collisions, industrial accidents, workers compensation claims, slip and falls, product liability claims and sport/recreation accidents. He testifies in cases regarding mechanism of injury, seat belt use and effectiveness, timing of injuries in multiple collision events, differentiating acute traumatic injuries from degenerative conditions and occupant kinematics. Dr. Campbell has extensive experience using and evaluating biomechanics computer models and simulations. He has specific expertise in LS-Dyna, Madymo, and Abaqus programs. He has used these programs to demonstrate biomechanical principles, evaluate alternative injury scenarios and safety devices, and create physics-based visualization for courtroom presentations. He has also evaluated injury biomechanics simulations used by other experts to determine whether proper scientific methods were followed. Dr. Campbell has published his research in a variety of peer reviewed journals and is on the editorial board of the Journal of Forensic Biomechanics and participates as a peer reviewer for multiple biomechanics journals.
