Russell Goodwin is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator by the National Association of Fire Investigators. He specializes in origin and cause determinations, scene documentation, evidence collection and preservation, non-destructive and destructive laboratory evidence examination, and documentation using photography and x-ray.
He has been involved in Fire Forensics for five and a half years. Mr. Goodwin specializes in 3d laser scanning utilizing a FARO laser scanner. He is a member of the International Association of Forensic and Security Metrology.
He has utilized 3d scanning on a multitude of large loss commercial fires and explosions, warehouse fires, agriculture facility loss and fires, wildland fires, dam collapse, and crash reconstruction. He has also utilized the scanner to assist in nuclear power plant retrofit and design. He is an FAA-certified drone pilot.
