Scott Thomas is a Senior Civil Engineer with experience involving structural and building envelope failure, causation analysis, damage assessment, technical support, building code research, construction management and construction cost analysis. He performs post-inspection and damage assessment of commercial and residential buildings damaged by fire, seismic activity and wind. Mr. Thomas provides engineering support for roof wind damage, foundation and retaining wall problems. He conducts on-site investigations of exterior building envelopes and roof membranes for water intrusion and resulting damage. He is experienced with water intrusion and mold damage involving EIFS, Stucco, vinyl and wood siding, as well as windows, doors and roof material. In addition to forensic investigations, Mr. Thomas specializes in providing repair design and cost analysis for building repair estimates. He provides engineering support to the insurance and legal industries for construction defect litigation.
