Associate Director of Investigations

Talia has completed hundreds of individual and corporate investigations with a focus on public records research and open-source intelligence. Talia’s efforts within our investigative and threat assessment practice areas have helped clients make more informed business decisions, provided key insights relating to ongoing civil litigation and revealed information or patterns of behavior critical to keeping our clients safe. As an associate director, Talia assists with transactional due diligence research, complex threat assessments and routine background investigations. She regularly works with a wide range of national databases and reviews a variety of public records including court filings, corporate registrations, property ownership records, press reports and social media profiles.

Prior to joining Jensen Hughes, Talia contributed to award-winning investigative projects at local news outlets including The Chicago Tribune and The Chicago Reporter, where she conducted interviews, researched legal records and summarized key findings for groundbreaking stories concerning environmental issues and police misconduct. She previously covered arts and cultural affairs for The Chicago Sun-Times, where her work was nominated for a Chicago Headline Club Award.

Talia is a member of the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (ACFCS) and of the Justice Council for Northwestern University’s Center on Wrongful Convictions, where she assists with the council’s mission to reform the criminal justice system and exonerate those who have been wrongfully convicted.
