Healthcare facilities are continually challenged with planning for, and
management of, all types of emergency situations, including catastrophic disasters such as floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, infrastructure failure or other internal disasters that force a Full
Building Evacuation (FBE).

The plan training and exercises will address:

+ On-unit patient preparation and packaging

+ Evacuation routes for each area

+ Travel routes for staff and emergency agencies

+ Vertical and horizontal evacuation methods

+ Staff labor pool and transport groups needed to handle the patients through the entire process

+ Patient tracking forms and tracking procedures
