Ed has nearly 40 years of experience in engineering and project management in the power industry, primarily in risk analysis and design basis reconstitution. He provides technical assistance in risk analysis, design basis reconstitution, independent design review, pump and valve programs and analyses, systems design and engineering, root cause analysis, and regulatory/design issue resolution.

Ed has also developed the fire protection design basis documents (DBDs) and performed qualitative fire risk evaluations (FREs) for non-nuclear power stations consistent with NFPA 850 and has experience in electrical and civil engineering in the commercial construction industry. He’s participated in all aspects of Fire PRA development, including component and cable selection activities, development of compartment fire ignition frequencies, scenario development, quantification and documentation activities, and industry peer reviews of the Fire PRA models.
