Tommi is a structural engineer by training and has ten years of experience in the fire safety design of buildings. Since the beginning of his career, Tommi has specialized in fire safety design of high-rise buildings and evacuation simulations, including lift evacuations. Some of his notable projects include REDI's Majakka - Finland's tallest and first building with lift evacuation - shopping centers and Helsinki-Vantaa airport terminal extensions. He has published a seminar paper on exit simulations for high-rise buildings at the SFPE International Conference on Functional Fire Design. Tommi has also worked with the operational side of the rescue service and has experience in safety arrangements of public spaces and events.
