Darren Osleger

Darren has more than 18 years of experience helping healthcare organizations strengthen fire and life safety, emergency management, and regulatory compliance. He earned a degree in Arson Fire Investigation from the University of New Haven and served as a firefighter in Connecticut for 15 years, providing firsthand experience in emergency response and incident management.

Today, Darren works with healthcare facilities across the United States, conducting Life Safety Assessments, fire and life safety plan reviews, and fire door inspections to help organizations maintain compliance with applicable codes and standards. He partners with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission, and other regulatory and accrediting agencies to help hospitals meet Life Safety and Emergency Management requirements while enhancing overall preparedness.

A nationally recognized speaker, Darren has presented at the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Congress and for VHA on fire and emergency response. He also supports regional and statewide healthcare disaster preparedness initiatives, helping hospitals strengthen evacuation planning, patient surge capabilities, and overall emergency preparedness.
