Omar is our fire safety engineering manager in Victoria. With extensive experience applying fire engineering design standards across multiple regions and conducting detailed performance-based studies, he has developed a comprehensive understanding of fire engineering principles. His combination of commercial awareness and engineering expertise enables him to effectively manage resources and facilitate innovative design and construction solutions.
He has gained key experience in the application of international standards through his work in the Middle East and Australia and has worked on a variety of iconic projects requiring close coordination with large design teams. Omar has a focus on providing holistic design solutions that suit the architectural intent and functional requirements of each building, and his versatility and enthusiasm are evident in his approach to every project.
Omar also has a comprehensive understanding of Australian and international fire testing and assessment standards. He has worked in fire testing and assessment roles across a range of materials, products, and elements of construction — including fire rated walls and floor systems, service penetrations, fire rated shutters, fire dampers, fire doors, and wall and ceiling linings. Omar is experienced in providing advice on fire code compliance, stakeholder consultation, extension of field of application, and producing documentary evidence.
