About JP
Juha-Pekka “JP” Laaksonen acts as a Service Line Leader and VP Finland. With over 35 years of experience, JP has developed a strong theoretical and operational knowledge of the fire safety industry. Starting out as a firefighter, JP eventually became Finland's first graduate to obtain an MSc. in Fire and Safety Engineering. Throughout his career, JP has been involved in many large-scale projects, including Finland’s Parliament House and Presidential Palace renovations, major shopping and business centers, high-rise buildings, hospitals, and large underground facilities. He has also participated in fire safety research and contributed to the development of civil protection and fire safety building legislation, fire safety zoning guidelines, domestic and international fire safety regulations, and auditing.
