Kyle Barfield

Kyle is a Process Safety Consultant whose primary responsibilities include identifying, assessing and managing risks of highly hazardous chemicals and processes. With a strong manufacturing background, he has practical knowledge of the obstacles and methods associated with building and maintaining PSM/RMP programs.  In his operations roles, he transitioned to an area with no formal PSM program in place where he developed, trained, and executed on the elements of PSM. After transitioning to a corporate process safety role, he led PSM compliance audits, developed site self-assessments to drive continuous improvement, and built capabilities within the end users. He has knowledge in occupational safety, critical-thinking skills, and is adept at building working relationships at all levels of the organization. Additional recent experience includes leading process hazard analyses, conducting root cause analyses, auditing process safety management systems, facilitating project design reviews, evaluating failure mechanisms and identifying safeguards.
