About Lars

Having held various roles within the field for many years, Lars has gained an in-depth understanding of all fire-related aspects of building construction. This is based on a solid regulatory framework and the technical expertise he has acquired during his career as a fire safety engineer.
His regulatory knowledge is rooted in the Building Regulations and executive orders on technical fire requirements. This knowledge is based on standards and guidelines for installations, surfaces, materials and more, which underpin the regulatory requirements for maintaining satisfactory fire safety and ensuring adequate conditions for rescue operations during the design and construction of buildings.

Additionally, Lars has developed a strong understanding of how to prioritise fire consultancy throughout the different phases of construction, a competence he gained when he was appointed project manager in a previous position. He has a particular talent for carrying out analytical risk assessments and identifying potential fire risks — an essential skill for a certified fire consultant performing third-party verification.

All of this is supported by his continuous interest in and commitment to keeping up to date with new technologies, research and developments — a regulatory requirement for certified fire safety engineers.
