About Timo

Select Language

Timo started as a fire consultant in 1996 and was, among other things, involved in the development of Finland's first functional fire design guide. His first projects included Nokia's head office in Keilaniemi and Varma's head office in Ruoholahti, which were among the largest office buildings in Finland when they were completed. These were the first buildings in which fire safety had been examined by means of functional fire design. Timo was also involved in the preparation of a common Nordic fire safety guide by the Nordic committee on building regulations. His major projects include the various construction phases of Helsinki Airport, Musiikkitalo, Kotka Museum Centre, Forum Quarter, Kämp Quarter and Matinkylä Metro station. One of the most interesting projects is the Tapiola Center development project, reaching its 11th year. Timo acts as the coordinator, overseeing fire safety of the entire site. Of note, Timo was among the first to study fire and safety engineering at the Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University) and also worked as a fireman at Helsinki Shipyard.
