Vijay Lucas

Vijay’s experience spans a diverse set of technical roles with various engineering organizations. He has previously managed an ISO 17020/17025 accredited fire testing laboratory for a large multi-national FTSE 100 listed company in British Columbia for 5 years, and prior to which he worked as a fire testing engineer in Dubai, UAE for a state-of-the-art ISO 17020/17025 accredited laboratory for 3 years. Vijay brings with him a unique set of skills and creativity with a deep understanding of fire testing standards, product certifications and assembly design listings.

He also has a background in design of medium-to-small power distribution, cable sizing, lighting, and lightning protection systems. Having worked for an ISO 9001 accredited electromechanical contractor in Abu Dhabi, UAE, he has experience with procurement for labour and materials, and has also overseen construction of several sub-stations and turn-key projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE for 5 years.

Vijay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS, Pilani) and is currently pursuing a Professional Engineering designation with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC).
