The Hotel Indigo Auckland & 51 Albert Residences is an impressive 41 storey development that elegantly merges a 4.5 star lifestyle hotel with luxury apartments and food and beverage offerings, all set against a beautifully restored heritage façade dating back to 1912. Nestled on a compact site, this stunning tower features 225 hotel rooms, alongside 30 high end apartments. The thoughtfully designed podium efficiently accommodates essential building services, back of house operations, and guest amenities, including a lobby, a comfortable lounge, a gourmet restaurant, a well-equipped gym, and versatile conference facilities. Additionally, a vibrant public café and bar at street level ensures a lively atmosphere for both guests and locals.

Jensen Hughes was engaged by Icon to provide passive fire construction monitoring for the building’s construction. Our role included conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with the specified passive fire protection measures. We reviewed contractor installations to confirm alignment with approved systems and fire resistance requirements, and we coordinated with project stakeholders to address and resolve any on site fire stopping issues. Additionally, we provided detailed documentation and reports to support compliance for both council and client records.
