Batya Wan

Batya Wan, P.L.Eng., RHFAC Professional is a Senior Engineer at Jensen Hughes.  She has nearly 15 years of Building Code and Fire Code consulting and project management experience in providing research and development of performance-based alternative solutions and preparation of Building Code compliance reports. She reviews drawings for Building Code and Fire Code compliance, field reviews of construction for Code compliance and confirmation of alternative solutions, integrated systems testing (CAN/ULC-S1001) for occupancy, air space parcel subdivision, fire protection system upgrades, and the coordination and review of Certified Professional Program documentation and drawings for building permit submission.  She is successful at managing project deliverables, working with project teams to find effective solutions, and has a strong technical background to provide valuable services required to address the unique needs of clients.  She has worked on mixed-use residential, commercial, institutional and industrial projects.  More recently, she has expanded into accessibility consulting and has the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification Professional designation.
