Supporting Your R&D Tax Incentive Eligibility

Jensen Hughes is registered as a Research Service Provider, confirming we meet the regulatory requirements to support eligible research and development (R&D) activities. For clients engaging us in this capacity, the registration provides a clear framework for fire testing, analysis, and technical research delivered within an R&D context.

What a Research Service Provider Registration Means for Clients

Research Service Provider (RSP) registration is designed to support clients’ R&D activities. It does not transfer ownership, control or decision making authority to the service provider. Our role is to provide clearly scoped fire testing and technical services within the structure required by the legislation. When engaging Jensen Hughes as an RSP:

  • Clients define and control the R&D activities
  • Clients own the outcomes of the work
  • Our services are delivered under contract to support those activities
  • Eligible expenditure may be treated as contracted R&D for the purposes of the R&D Tax Incentive, subject to program requirements

How Our Fire Testing Services Support R&D

R&D activities involving fire performance, materials behaviour or system response often require specialist testing, controlled environments and independent technical evidence. As a registered RSP, we support these activities through our fire testing and fire assessment services, operating within the governance and compliance expectations of the R&D Tax Incentive framework. Our services include:

  • Fire testing and fire assessments
  • Measurement and analysis of fire, thermal and material behaviour
  • Mechanical and thermal investigations linked to fire performance
  • Development and review of technical evidence to support R&D findings

When Engaging an RSP is Relevant

Engaging a registered Research Service Provider may be relevant where clients are:

  • Conducting eligible R&D activities involving fire performance or related engineering challenges
  • Engaging third parties for specialised fire testing or technical research services
  • Preparing or reviewing an R&D Tax Incentive registration or claim.
