Belynda is a Team Leader / FSO in the Washington, DC area office of Jensen Hughes. She has extensive experience in Fire Protection Engineering. She has experience in the interpretation and application of building and fire codes, code analysis and review, code equivalencies, fire sprinkler and fire alarm design, life safety requirements, and systems plan review for compliance with client specifications. Her skill set also includes evaluation of existing building construction and systems to determine code compliance and potential remediation needs. She is familiar with and currently assists with the design and consulting for multiple fire protection systems, including fire alarm and detection systems, fire suppression systems, smoke control systems, and fire resistance and structural fire protection. A holistic approach is used for team coordination and building design to allow efficient work with other disciplines. Since 2010, she has also been the Fairfax Office Facility Security Officer (FSO). Previously, she worked for a sprinkler contractor in the Washington, D.C., area, where she performed various duties, including design, sales, plan review, code review, and project management.
