Peter Nguyen

As a chartered fire engineer with a focus on structural fire engineering, Peter dedicates himself to ensuring the safety of building structures and occupants in the event of a fire. With experience in designing and implementing fire protection systems, as well as conducting fire risk assessments, Peter has developed a strong understanding of fire codes and regulations. Peter’s fire engineering expertise includes fire safety design in accordance with New Zealand Building Code including C/AS1, C/AS2, and C/VM2 Alternative Solutions, and construction monitoring. His structural fire engineering expertise involves analysing structures against abnormal loading involving impact, blast, and fire; providing technical solutions to prevent spalling and collapsing of concrete and steel structures in fire condition; developing numerical models for complex structural problems and verification of the models; and forensic and assessment of structural residual strength after fire incident.
