Kevin has experience in the design and specification of fire protection and fire alarm systems. His substantial experience with large-scale industrial projects involve all aspects of fire and life safety. He is an alternate member of the NFPA 59A technical committee and developed NFPA 59A fire study evaluations. Recent projects include a wide variety of oil & gas facilities, including peak shaving storage facilities, marine terminal facilities, LPG tank farms, and mid-stream fractionation facilities.
Kevin is a subject matter expert in building and fire code compliance and life safety evaluations for many types of facilities. He has substantial field experience with the installation, inspection, and testing of a broad range of fire protection equipment and has participated in cause/origin fire scene reconstructions as part of ongoing litigation cases. He has also performed fire protection and life safety system analysis, evaluation of hazardous material, and inspection/testing of fire protection systems. He has designed and specified fire suppression systems, both water-based and special hazard, as well as fire detection and occupant notification fire alarm systems. He is past President of the New England Chapter of Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE-NEC).
