About Kiera
Kiera is one of our leading investigators for investigating the origin and cause of water and oil escapes. She has managed and assisted with over 500 escape of water, escape of oil and fire investigations in commercial, industrial and residential premises. While undergoing the IFIC Forensics Graduate Training Program, she successfully completed the Gardiners Foundation and Practical Fire Investigation Course. She progressed her continued professional development by completing a MSc in Fire Scene Investigation, receiving a first with distinction. Her thesis work involved the study of self-heating within biomass wood pellets to determine the critical ambient temperature for wood pellets at given storage volumes.
To supplement her investigation skills, Kiera has undertaken legal experience training successfully receiving her Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence (APAEWE). Complimenting her education and experience, she has attended courses in electrical installation, fire detection design, vehicle fire investigation, plumbing skills and HETAS H003 and H006 solid fuel stove installation and maintenance courses.
