He has previously provided advice to building consent authorities and has participated in projects as a regulatory stakeholder. He has developed a strong track record of leading and delivering the fire engineering design for complex projects, with notable examples including the redevelopment of the heritage HB Building, Starship Hospital PICU expansion and Atrium Redevelopment, IKEA Auckland, and the Auckland Integrated Rail Management Centre (AIRMC).
