Hillary leads the Jensen Hughes combustible dust and flammability testing laboratory in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Her role focuses on dust explosibility and hazard characterization testing, including use of the cubic meter chamber. She regularly interfaces with clients to explain testing results and recommendations, managing over 150 testing campaigns annually. She joined Jensen Hughes in 2017 and has over a decade of material characterization experience.
Hillary, is a staff scientist experienced in analytical chemistry. Her past research and experience involves analyzing organic matter for various contaminants and producing anode components for organic batteries. In her current role as a staff scientist, Hillary is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Jensen Hughes Dust Lab. This work involves determining the explosibility of dust samples and the ignition sensitivity and explosion severity of these samples.
