Mario is a Principal-Engineer with over 50 years of experience in the design of fire detection and fire protection systems for military, educational, healthcare, transit, industrial, and commercial facilities.
He has been responsible for several large multi-year, multi-location projects, involving retrofit fire alarm systems and fire suppression systems for military facilities. He has also been involved in the design of fire protection systems for architecturally sensitive historic structures, including the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington, DE; Saint-Gaudens National Historic Park in Cornish, NH; and The Library of Congress, Ford’s Theater and the US Capitol in Washington, DC. Mario has conducted HPR inspections from candidate to re-inspection of large industrial complexes, including the testing of fire pumps, and various systems: dry, deluge, pre-action, foam and fire alarm.
Additionally, for the last twenty years, Mario has been involved with the review of the design and fee proposals for sprinkler and fire alarm systems for correctional facilities and testing of the completed systems.
