Chris McBeth joined Jensen Hughes (formerly Jeremy Gardner Associates) as a Design Engineer in October 2015 after successfully completing his Master’s Degree in Advanced Mechanical Engineering at Queen’s University Belfast. Chris was promoted to Associate in September 2022.
Chris is working on a number of projects across the UK and Ireland. These include new buildings and the refurbishment or reconfiguration of existing buildings. Chris has worked on a range of different buildings including shopping centres, office, mixed use, leisure, residential, historical, education and healthcare buildings and has a range of experience in leisure projects in Northern Ireland.
Chris has experience working on some of the largest developments in Northern Ireland and beyond including the redevelopment of the Odyssey Pavilion Belfast, Ulster
University Greater Belfast Development, and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children. Chris has a proven track record of developing fire strategies based on guidance documents, and best practice fire engineering principles.
Chris has experience in carrying out surveys and inspections on site for the purpose of fire safety audits and fire risk assessments. He is also involved in carrying out EWS1 external wall assessments throughout the UK.
Chris joined Jensen Hughes as a graduate in October 2015 and has gone on to become an integral member of the team in our Belfast Office. He has been involved in some our largest and most challenging projects in Northern Ireland including the Ulster University Greater Belfast Development and Royal Belfast Children’s Hospital. He has been involved in many other major projects in sectors including residential, education projects, offices, shopping centres, transport as well as historic and industrial buildings where unique fire engineering solutions have been required. Chris has advised in projects not only in Northern Ireland but across the UK and Ireland.
