David is a Technical Fellow and Senior Advisor at Jensen Hughes, where he has been providing expert consultation since 1995. He specializes in healthcare fire safety, life safety, and emergency preparedness, with expertise in compliance-related issues, including the development of equivalencies and waivers.
David is a past Chairman of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Health Care Section Executive Board and currently serves as Chair of the Health Care Section Education Committee. He was also a long-time member of the NFPA 101 Technical Committee on Health Care Occupancies and has served on the NFPA 1600 Standard on Continuity, Emergency, and Crisis committees.
In addition to his consulting work, David has significant fire service experience at the Company Officer level in Prince George's County, MD, and Monroe County, NY. He currently serves as Fire Chief in Honeoye Falls, NY.
