Omar has a comprehensive understanding of both Australian and international design, fire testing and assessment standards. He has worked in fire testing and assessment consultancy roles for a range of materials, products and elements of construction – including fire rated walls and floor systems, service penetrations, fire rated shutters, fire dampers, fire doors and wall and ceiling linings. He has also worked on projects to provide consultancy, testing and assessment services for residential buildings, hotels, offices, car parks, shopping centres, schools, hospitals and aged care facilities. Omar is experienced in all aspects of the fire testing and assessments process including providing advice on code compliance, stakeholder consultation, product or system field of application, and creating documentary evidence of suitability for tested and assessed systems.
