Ross is a Director who leads the Jensen Hughes office in Birmingham since it opened in 2020 and is responsible for projects and business development in Birmingham, the Midlands and surrounding areas.

Ross is an experienced engineer with a wide ranging portfolio of work on different buildings types including shopping centres, residential, office, mixed use, leisure, healthcare, educational, and industrial. Ross provides consulting for new buildings and refurbishing or reconfiguring existing buildings.

Ross has developed fire engineering solutions using both standard and advanced techniques such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Evacuation Modelling. He has used Fire Dynamic Simulator (FDS) software to model a variety of different buildings including residential, offices, shopping centres and large vehicular coach parks.

Ross has completed a six-month secondment in our Irish offices working on a wide range of building types producing Fire Safety Certificate and Disability Access Certificate applications based on the recommendations of Irish Fire Safety Guidance. Whilst working in Ireland, Ross has gained experience working with Approving Authorities including the Local Fire Service and Building Control in order to develop fire engineering solutions which satisfies both the requirements of the client or contractor and the approving authorities.
