Kirsi has worked in the construction industry since 1997. A construction architect by training, she began her career at an architectural firm. Eventually, she moved into fire safety field and has now been working in the industry for more than 10 years. 

Kirsi has been involved in a wide range of fire safety design projects, including shopping centers and commercial buildings in the Helsinki Metropolitan area, a major renovation of Finlandia Talo , and numerous other educational, health care, office and residential buildings in Finland.
