Basheer Youssef, MEng, MIFireE

Basheer is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the the fire engineering industry specifically fire safety, detection and protection systems, and local and international codes and standards. As a Technical Director, he demonstrated a wealth of expertise in fire safety strategy and his comprehensive understanding spans both UK codes and guidance, encompassing documents such as Approved Document B, BS 9999, BS 9991, HTM 05-02, PD 7974, BS 5839 part 1 & 6, BS EN 12845, and BS 9251. Furthermore, he is well-versed in overseas and international codes, notably NFPA and the UAE Code. His expertise includes the creation of fire engineering solutions using both standard and advanced techniques. He has used Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) successfully on projects involving residential corridors and warehouses. He has worked on a multitude of projects in various industries and occupancy types including offices, warehouses, self-storage facilities, mixed-use developments, leisure complexes, residential properties, educational institutions and healthcare facilities.
