About Amer
Amer is a Team Leader in the Riyadh Office with a large portfolio of experience within the fire protection industry in KSA, UAE, Canada, and United States. His journey includes working for multiple consulting firms, the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, and Ontario Power Generation. These experiences have allowed Amer to better understand the roles of a client/owner, regulator, and consultant as well. Amer has also served, and continues to serve, on numerous NFPA, ISO, SFPE, and CSA committees.Â
His experience includes working on giga projects in the Middle East that require knowledge and experience with various local and international building and fire codes. In addition to the suite of Saudi Building Codes, Amer’s experiences include working with other global codes and standards such as the International Building Code (IBC), NFPA 1/101, National Building Code of Canada.Â
Amer is an experienced code consultant and currently supports performance-based design initiatives as well. He’s performed Code Compliance Reviews, Egress Analyses, Fire Hazard Assessments, Fire Response Assessments, Plant Condition Inspections, and Fire Protection Program Audits for clients such as DGDA, Rua Al Madinah, Royal Commission of Al Ula, and many other international industrial facilities such as Cameco Conversion Facility, Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations (NGS), Pickering NGS, and Chalk River Laboratories.
