Ben is an experienced and knowledgeable engineer with a strong background in research and testing of fire safety products. As Group Technical Director Ben is responsible for leading projects and for the development of the fire strategies for a range of complex buildings including residential and mixed use developments, office and atrium buildings. Ben has a particular interest in international projects, having worked on projects in Abu Dhabi, Malta, Mumbai, Qatar and Ukraine.

He developed a means of calculating visibility from available data and his conclusions have been adopted for fire engineering design.
