Biswadeep Ghosh

Biswadeep (Deep) has been involved in the fire safety design of a number of structures in several building sectors. As part of his involvement in developing fire strategies, Deep uses his extensive knowledge from first principles to enable fire safety designs that are fit for purpose and achieve the required compliance and cost metrics of the project. Deep is currently based in Vancouver Canda as a Senior Consultant with Jensen Hughes.

Deep has been involved with providing assistance with international reviews on a number of panels. As part of a technical group, Deep has been part of developing the Fire design guide for Health New Zealand that is due to be adopted in July 2024. Deep is also involved with SFPE as a Co-Chair for providing risk-based evaluation for developing a new Guide for the Assessment of Existing Buildings and is part of the group reviewing the existing SFPE Guide for Human Behavior in Fire. He has recently been involved in a project providing a Policy and Technical Options Report for Single Escape Stairs for  BC Ministry of Housing.
