Tuomas has been working at Jensen Hughes since 2024. He graduated as a structural engineer M.Sc. (Tech) in 2025. In his master's thesis he studied the fire resistance of CLT horizontal structures under natural fire conditions with a particular focus on the reduction of structural load-bearing capacity during the cooling phase of a fire. Previously, he has worked as a renovation structural engineer and as a site supervisor on a construction site.
Tuomas has performed structural fire safety analyses across multiple projects. Examples of such analyses include fire curve determination, evaluation of critical steel temperatures, timber charring design, and thermal and structural analyses using the Finite Element Method (FEM).

Tuomas on työskennellyt Jensen Hughesilla vuodesta 2024 lähtien. Hän valmistui rakennustekniikan diplomi-insinööriksi vuonna 2025. Diplomityössään hän tutki CLT-vaakarakenteiden palonkestävyyttä luonnollisissa palo-olosuhteissa keskittyen erityisesti rakenteiden kantavuuden heikentymiseen palon jäähtymisvaiheessa. Aiemmin hän on työskennellyt korjausrakentamisen rakennesuunnittelijana ja rakennustyömaan työnjohtajana. Tuomas on suorittanut rakenteellisia paloturvallisuusanalyyseja useissa projekteissa. Esimerkkejä tällaisista analyyseistä ovat palokäyrän määrittäminen, teräksen kriittisten lämpötilojen arviointi, puun hiiltyminen sekä lämpö- ja rakenneanalyysit FEM-menetelmällä.
