Alba joined Jensen Hughes in 2020 as a Principal Engineer, and after demonstrating her expertise in fire engineering, was promoted to Associate in 2022 and currently works as a Technical Director. With a background in building control, Alba has worked for approved inspectors in London since 2014 involving a wide range of projects including shopping centres, offices, mixed-use, leisure, residential, historical, education and healthcare buildings. She advised clients, contractors, architects and engineers ensuring building regulations were followed during the design and development of building projects.

Leveraging her knowledge of building codes and regulations, she now develops fire strategies for new and existing developments including large residential developments and high-rise buildings as well as office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use buildings. She conducts in-depth technical appraisals of internal compartmentation construction and fire stopping, and also carries out external wall assessments and fire risk appraisals of external walls.
