Josh is a Senior Accessibility Consultant with over 14 years of experience in the accessibility compliance industry. Mr. Rucker has an extensive background in providing guidance, leadership, and technical assistance in conformance with state and federal disability-related laws and regulations and building codes. He has particular knowledge of the ADA, Section 504, Fair Housing Act, ICC/ANSI A117.1 and IBC.
He provides accessibility consultation on project types that include commercial, residential, healthcare, hospitality and higher education. He conducts plan reviews of new construction and alteration projects, site surveys/audits and remediation plans.
Prior to joining Jensen Hughes, Josh served as the Deputy ADA Coordinator at the University of Connecticut, Compliance Manager for Access and Accommodations at Columbia University, and Director of the Fair Housing Accessibility FIRST program sponsored by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Josh is a certified ICC Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner.
