Emergency Response Plan Integration

As the largest operating natural gas network in the United States, the top company is connected to every important US natural gas resource play, including the Eagle Ford, Marcellus, Utica, Uinta, Haynesville, Fayetteville and Barnett. They move 40 percent of the natural gas consumed in the US. The company maintained over 700 Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) plans as individual documents, many with different formats, varying levels of detail, company standard language and degrees of accuracy – leaving administrators without reliable or efficient information.

We leveraged our SMARTPLAN platform and developed a SPCC plan template to company standards. All 700 SPCC plans were populated, and company administrators were able to view consistent plans all in one place. By using SMARTPLAN, the company was able to improve its compliance, consistency and accessibility for their many SPCC plans. Our system has reduced time spent and cost of program management while simplifying new plan integration.
